Our athletes shone at the South African National Championships and the National Cross Country event, earning Gold, Silver, and Bronze medals. These achievements exemplify the dedication and discipline of our learners-athletes.
Netball
Our netball teams claimed victory in the North West League, with the First Team Netball securing second place in North West. The participation of our First Team in the DSTV Schools Netball challenge even brought them on television. Furthermore, the initiation of our netball day, involving 8 schools, marked a great success in 2023.
Rugby
Our Rugby team secured victory in the North Vaal High School Rugby tournament, displaying skill, teamwork, and determination. Eight of our talented boys earned their spots on the Leopards Rugby Team, a testament to their exceptional abilities and hard work.
Soccer
In soccer, our teams celebrated triumph by winning the u/15 Boys North Vaal Championships, while the First Team Girls Soccer clinched victory in the North Vaal Soccer Tournament. The prospect of 2 boys and 2 girls being included in the South African National Team further highlights our excellence in this sport.
Cricket
Die Wilge High School had the privilege of having three players represent the North West Dragons team at the provincial level. Notably, one of our former cricketers now plays for the Dragons Senior second team, illustrating the lasting impact of our cricket program.
