VISION
To develop mild to moderate intellectually challenged learners to become responsible and productive adults through inclusive education that is responsive to the needs of all the learners. We strive to develop active and creative minds with a sense of understanding and compassion for others and the courage to act on their beliefs.
MISSION
To provide quality basic education for high learner achievement as well as sports development, nation-building social cohesion and understanding of diversity to play an active role in the economic cycle.

Admissions Policies
Die Wilge's Admissions Policy aims to promote and facilitate the admission of learners to our school. It reflects the constitutional responsibility of the Government to provide quality education for all.
Every child has the right to access basic education and equal admission to an educational institution as determined by the Constitution, Educational Law, the South African Schools' Act and this policy which applies to High school Die Wilge. No learner will be discriminated against or be refused admission to the school based on race, gender, sex, religion, sexual orientation, age, disability, culture or provable inability to pay school fees.
Language Policies
Die Wilge High School's language policy was approved by the school governing body on 16/08/2019. The language policy has been drafted in accordance with the provisions of the Constitution of South Africa, Act 108 of 1996; the South African Schools Act, Act 84 of 1996 ('SASA'); the National Education Policy Act, Act 27 of 1996; applicable provincial legislation on school education; judgments of the South African courts; the International Convention on the Rights of the Child; the African Charter on the Rights and Welfare of Children; the Norms and Standards for Language Policy in Public Schools, 1997 (GN 1701 dated 19 December 1997) and the guidelines of the Pan South African Language Board.
Code of Conduct
Die Wilge High's (LSEN) code of conduct has been approved by the school governing body according to the guidelines of the South African Schools Act 84 of 1996, The National Education Policy Act, Act 27 of 1996, and guidelines for a code of conduct for learners. The school governing body has consulted the school's parents, students, and educators on the content of the code of conduct.

About OUR NSNP Program
National School Nutrition Programme (NSNP)
The NSNP aims to enhance learners’ learning capacity by providing healthy meals at schools. Programme implementation has improved punctuality, regular school attendance, concentration and the general well-being of participating learners.
Learners with nutritious meals are taught to establish and maintain good eating and lifestyle habits. Nutrition Education also provides educators with resources to support the curriculum and make every school healthy. Die Wilge High School LSEN has a dedicated team of educators, administrative staff and parents who plan, prepare and serve daily learners’ meals.
