2019

Die Wilge High school had a good start for the Soccer season on 25 August. The first clash was against Oom Paul School form Rustenburg. Die Wilge teams did well with the U/15 team winning their match 4-2 the U/16 match ended in a draw and the Second team won their match 3-2. The girls u/16 had a hard game but won their match 3-2. Die Wilge High School first team finished the day with a win of 4-0 against Oom Paul.

The second match was played on the 1st of August and Die Wilge High school played their second round against Oom Paul School from Rustenburg. Die Wilge High school had a practiced Oom Paul opponent to beat and rose to the challenge, the U/15 had another victory and won their game 2-1. The second teams match ended in a draw 3-3 and the U/16 girls team won their game with 2-0. The first team of Die Wilge High school won their match against a well-practiced Oom Paul first team with 1-0.

Die Wilge is looking forward to a good season of soccer as this is only the second round of the League they are playing.
 
     
 
     
 


2018

Soccer at Die Wilge High School again did very well during the 2017 season. Three teams (Boys U/19, Boys Second team and Girls U/19) were crowned as Northwest league winners. The Boys Second team then advanced to the North Vaal finals where they lost against Jim van Tonder High School from Bethal. They received silver medals as runners up.

Six boys and three girls were chosen for the Northwest U/19 teams. They were:
